The Land Stewardship Grant provides three years of funding for operations, maintenance and management activities on conservation lands owned and/or managed by non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) in support of biodiversity freshwater fish, wildlife and their habitats.
NGOs can include, but are not limited to, Land Trusts and First Nations Land Trusts who own and/or manage land for conservation purposes.
Funding is for projects that:
Represent significant biodiversity and conservation values for fish, wildlife, and habitats
Maintain, restore, or enhance biodiversity or fish, wildlife and habitats,
Provide long-term benefits for the landscape by addressing current or potential threats.
